The staff and students at Pine Lake Elementary School are to be commended for their achievements. Let’s make this year the best school year ever!

Our Mission

We provide the highest quality education so that all of our students are empowered to lead productive and fulfilling lives as lifelong learners, responsible citizens, and protectors of our global environment.

Our History

Pine Lake Elementary School was built in 1977. It is located on 9.13 acres in southwest Miami-Dade County at 16700 SW 109th Avenue. Our School consists of one two story structure with open pod classrooms in the main building. Pine Lake Elementary was completely renovated in 1994 to repair damage caused by Hurricane Andrew. At that time, a one-story wing was added. The school has been retro-fitted to provide internet and intranet access to all classrooms.

Our Vision

We are committed to academic excellence and environmental awareness.

BOTANY

The living classroom at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden offers students an opportunity for full immersion in learning about the plant kingdom and how it affects and complements the animal kingdom.

ZOOLOGY

The Zoology strand offers an exciting opportunity to learn up close and personal at Zoo Miami.
